The kettles are molded from an original Louisiana-style kettle used in the early 19th century. This was the smallest kettle
in the sugar train, whereby cane juice was boiled and concentrated. First in a large kettle, then transferred to smaller kettles until the syrup
started to form sugar crystals.
Our Louisiana-style reproduction has “Louisiana” and the year “1829” molded into the lip.
