The kettles are molded from an original Louisiana-style kettle used in the early 19th century. This was the smallest kettle
in the sugar train, whereby cane juice was boiled and concentrated. First in a large kettle, then transferred to smaller kettles until the syrup
started to form sugar crystals.
Our reproduction has the words “New Orleans, LA” and the year “1827” molded into the lip.
